Jane Tunstill
Jane was previously head of the Department of Health and Social Care at Royal Holloway, London University, where she was responsible for qualifying and post-qualifying social work education and a large research programme. She holds honorary appointments at the Social Care Workforce Research Unit at Kings College, London and at Royal Holloway. Originally a social worker, and then policy advisor, in both the voluntary and statutory sectors, much of her consultancy, evaluative and research activity has highlighted the importance of early intervention and family support services, and of the advantages of multi-disciplinary working. She is actively involved with a range of organisations in the dissemination of knowledge including research and evaluation evidence. Pamela Meadows
Pamela is an economist who specialises in the labour market and social policy issues. She has specific expertise in understanding value for money issues in the provision of services for children and families. She is a Visiting Fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research. http://www.niesr.ac.uk
She holds honorary appointments at the Institute of Children, Families and Social Issues, Birkbeck, University of London and the Social Policy Research Centre at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. She previously had a similar appointment at the Arbetslivsinstitutet in Stockholm. She was previously Director of the Policy Studies Institute and before that spent nearly twenty years as a government economist in both the Home Office and the Department of Employment, where she was Chief Economist and Head of Economics, Research and Evaluation.

Sukey Tarr
Sukey has extensive experience of working with service users and staff, particularly in the field of child and family welfare, and of undertaking organisational analysis and training. She is a qualified child psychologist.
James Blewett
James works with local authorities on a range of issues from mentoring social care staff to delivering training around practice issues appraisals schemes based on national occupational standards. James is a qualified social worker. Having worked in early years for 5 years James spent thirteen years as a local authority social worker before becoming a local authority training manager for children’s services.
June Thoburn
June is Emeritus Professor of Social Work at the University of East Anglia.
She is a qualified and experienced child and family social worker. She is a member of the General Social Care Council.
Janet Lewis
Janet was formerly Director of Research at the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and has worked with a number of voluntary and public sector organisations.
